Bio

Simon Prasinos (born 1992) is a photographer based in Athens. His work explores the tension between detachment and engagement, as well as the way photography serves as a means of navigating identity—an ever-shifting space between observation and personal revelation.

Starting from a staged approach, he gradually shifts towards a more open and experiential creative process, making space for interaction between himself, the subject, and the environment. His images navigate between construction and observation, following a trajectory from control to acceptance.

He studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts (ASKT), and his work has been presented at the Athens Photo Festival. In parallel, he works in film productions within the Camera Department since 2018, where he has the opportunity to collaborate with talented individuals and share the same love for visual storytelling. He lives in Athens and works in Greece and abroad.
